Inventory Clerk


Keeps count of products and supplies, ensures that company inventory remains balanced, restock supplies and assists in maintaining inventory records

 General Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and validate all inventories, perform cycle count of all products and perform monthly short dated checks
  • Maintain accuracy of all counts and ensure authenticity of all information
  • Checks actual store inventory  against computerized records
  • Perform physical count of inventory and perform reconciliation with actual available stock
  • Maintain log of all records and update all requisitions to ensure efficient cost transfers
  • Maintains logs of all products and supplies
  • Write up inventory reports detailing any overstock or missing items
  • Reviews shipping and receiving documents for accuracy
  • Maintain inventory levels and sound alerts on low inventories
  • Update inventory records with new information on a constant basis
  • Create and maintain inventory management records on a consistent basis
  • Detect stock shortage by maintaining accurate inventory
  • Coordinate inventory management efforts with purchasing and warehouse departments
  • Investigate inventory errors and perform corrective measures
  • Reports any discrepancies in inventory records to Manager

  • Minimum of 5 O’ Levels/CXC or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is desirable
  • Practical stock count experience in a retail environment would be an asset


  • Have excellent people skills
  • Must possess good oral and written skills.
