Job description:

Position title : Claims Technician/Marketing

 Reports to :  Managing Director

                                                                                                                                                                     

Objective

Provide support for the efficient and effective management of claims department. And underwriting department

Key Accountabilities

  • Specialised Techniques/Knowledge
    • Supervise all activities in Claims department
    • Sound Knowledge of all classes of Motor, Property & Casualty Guidelines
    • The ability to make quick and responsible decisions.
    • Oversees investigations of insurance claims for all lines
    • Strong analytical skills
    • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • Seek the most competitive rates for clients
    • Acquire new accounts, maintain existing accounts whilst working to achieving financial targets
    • Gain new business by identifying ad strategically exploring opportunities in defined market sectors

  • Customer  Service and Satisfaction:
    • Handle all clients claims quickly and in an efficient manner
    • Ability to display tact, diplomacy and negotiate

  • Employee Development :

  • To maintain professional  development by keeping up to date on changes and new developments  in the fields of general insurance and  Risk Management.
  • To support the Unit’s productivity by displaying the behaviors associated with a professional work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Must have or pursuing the Associate in Claims Program with Institutes of America  
  • CII/ Diploma in Insurance Qualifications
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in the insurance industry in claims, underwriting experience would be an asset.

  • Computer Literate – Microsoft Office – Word,
