Manager, Policy & Planning

The incumbent will be responsible for policy formulation and programme Planning, as well as performing advanced level research and analysis, project design and development.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent will be responsible for policy formulation and programme Planning, as well as performing advanced level research and analysis, project design and development.

KEY FUNCTIONS

·         Responsible for policy formulation and programme planning to facility quality health care

·         Develops policies and guidelines for development/programme planning in various aspects of health

·         Facilitate or lead programme/projects relating to the planning, development, and implementation of public health programs and services for the Region.

·         Provides technical and/or administrative advice/guidance regarding the modification of policies, contracts and other program or procedural areas

·         Provides leadership and guidance to senior management and others regarding policies, regulations, and other relevant issues.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Public Policy/Health or related field in Health Administration from an accredited university

·         At least five (5) years work experience in policy development, planning, research and evaluation

·         Certification in Project Management would be an asset. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
