Job description:

FUNCTIONAL ASSIGNMENT:
The General Facilities Attendant is responsible for housekeeping and maintenance duties on the compound, clean-up of spills, the removal of scrap materials and waste inside and outside of the factory and any other miscellaneous housekeeping activities as assigned.
 
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Clean all assigned areas outside of the factory daily (inclusive of oil and water spills)
2. Sweep, Power wash, Scrub assigned areas.
3.Remove all garbage and debris to dumpsters daily
4.Paint interior and exterior walls of factory as may be required
5.Assist office janitors and maintenance department in emergency situations and/ or special events.
6.Spray/remove any unwanted weeds on the exterior of the factory.
7.Accurately use assigned machines as required for the maintenance of facilities.
8.Document/Report all assigned activities in the relevant log books.
9.Replace bulbs in office areas and report any other areas that may require attention
10.Respond promptly to internal jobs including: repairs, cleaning maintenance, oiling, small carpentry jobs, welding, plumbing, masonry and fabricating.
11.Assist in HSSE matters (fixtures, signs, extinguishers and issuing PPE etc.) as required and assigned.
12.Responsible for the safeguarding of assigned equipment and tools.
13.Assist in training of any new employees.
14.Maintain a clean work environment
15.Conduct any other related duties that may be assigned by the HSSE Manager.
16.Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
17.Participate in the development and implementation of, and perform all duties in accordance with procedures as per ISO 9001:2000 standards and Ansa Polymer Limited Quality Manual and OSHA.
18.Participate in Training and Development activities from time to time.
19.Compliance with Ansa Polymer Limited and Ansa McAL Group Policies.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in a related field
