Job Title: Parts & Service Sales Representative

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for parts sales, service jobs, equipment evaluation, and liaises with both internal and external parties to ensure that we are meeting the customer’s specific service needs. The incumbent will report to the Division Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meets monthly, quarterly and annual sales volume and margin objectives


  • Solicits orders via customer visits


  • Prepares quotes and estimates for parts and/or service


  • Analyses current sales, determines additional areas for potential sales, and develops strategies to acquire same


  • Resolves customer disputes/concerns within the stipulated timeframe


  • Negotiates the sale of service contracts


  • Prepares aftersales service contracts


  • Conducts machine inspections to gather information relevant to quotes


  • Uses various software programs (Service master, SPP, etc.) and reviews technical reports


  • Conducts customer service satisfaction surveys and solicits feedback from customers


  • Creates and maintains service contract templates for common models sold


  • Coordinates parts and service sales with service department


  • Remains knowledgeable of company’s products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies


  • Any other related responsibilities assigned by the Manager of the Division

Academic Qualifications, Experience and Soft Skills

  • A minimum of five (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Mathematic and English Language


  • A minimum of three (3) years sales or related experience and/or training with heavy industrial equipment / parts and service
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written


  • The ability to listen, and use critical thinking to identify and resolve issues


  • Excellent customer service and prospecting skills with the ability to approach the sales process creatively and in a professional manner.


  • The ability to work either in a team or independently in a fast paced environment with minimum supervision

Travel Requirements

  • Local travel requires that the candidate owns a reliable vehicle and uses same for customer site visits as required
  • A valid Driver’s permit
