Job description:

Main Duties:

  • Provides oral and written advice on all Industrial Relations matters
  • Prepares written opinions on Industrial Relations matters
  • Provides industrial relations services at client companies
  • Facilitates and conducts disciplinary hearings
  • Facilitates and handles complaints/grievances
  • Participates in dispute resolution
  • Record notes as required
  • Draft terms of settlements, subject for review
  • Draft employment contracts, subject for review as required.
  • Arrange and schedule meetings as required
  • Coordinates policy review services
  • Reviews Industrial Relations related correspondences and documents as required.
  • Collates, analyses and summarises data for distribution as required.
  • Represents customers at the Ministry of labour for conciliation
  • Represents customers at the Industrial Court concerning pre-trial hearings, conciliation, open court hearings and other similar matters
  • Prepares relevant statement of cases, evidence and arguments, witness statements and other related documents
  • Represents customers at the registration, recognition and certification board (RRCB)
  • Ensures the accurate, complete and timely submission of all relevant documentations
  • Ensure the customers are kept apprised of all developments at every level of representation
  • Monitors trends in collective bargaining settlements
  • Participates in negotiations on behalf of customers
  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of collective agreement
  • Drafts correspondences such as letters, memoranda forms and similar documents for industrial relations matters
  • Work collaboratively with the Team Leader to ensure the departmental budget is attained
  • Perform any other related duties as required
