Fabric Maintenance Team Lead

Job Scope: 
The Fabric Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for leading the onshore/offshore fabric maintenance services activities within the field assets to assure operational excellence through the execution of cost effective processes in line with current strategy.  A strong emphasis is required on maintaining asset integrity and high HSEQ standards.
Key Duties:  

  • Manage an effective team; provide leadership and motivation
  • Lead the execution of daily activities as it relates to contract deliverables, assuring that all allocated responsibilities are dealt with accordingly in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Assure Asset Integrity standards are maintained.
  • Actively plan and ensure the execution of Fabric Maintenance across the Client assets
  • Ensure all necessary materials ordering and logistics are provided to ensure FM team delivery of work scopes.
  • Identify FM team priorities, record for clear communication and communicate to planners for population of FM Team Plan. Review regularly and update accordingly, communicate with wider business as necessary
  • Ensure that all resources are competency assured using Massy WG approved competency assurance systems.
  • Ensure the regulatory compliance of fabric maintenance activities to achieve safe working practices. Undertake review and audit of FM activities to ensure compliance. Act as HSE liaison for discussions and audits where required.
  • Continually review and improve the fabric maintenance services strategy effectiveness. 
  • Ensure that the business drivers and performance incentives are fully understood by all personnel being supervised.
  • Responsibility for the motivation of staff to identify improvement opportunities that add value to both the company and the client.
  • Deliver cost effective solutions by continual review of methodology utilised whilst ensuring technical integrity and optimum cost. 
  • Understand the business drivers and monitor those associated with maintenance so any necessary actions can be taken as soon as possible to address the situation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure all sub-ordinates are aware of standards expected.  To proactively assist whoever necessary to improve and maintain the HSEQ performance.
  • Manage appropriate parts of MASSY WG Management System to ensure full awareness of sub-ordinates and continually reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Address disciplinary issues with the personnel being supervised.
  • Performance Management of team. Complete the performance appraisals, both interim and annual.
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Project Management or relevant technical discipline from a recognised university
  • At least 10 years’ experience within the offshore fabric maintenance delivery and execution.
  • The candidate will have experience across all FM trades and be knowledgeable in estimating work content and problem solving
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a high performance, fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities
  • Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.
  • Managerial, supervisory and hands on experience in onshore/ offshore facilities.
  • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and related work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
