Job Title: Member Relations Officer

VACANCY

Member Relations Officer

Primary Responsibilities

FUNCTIONS: Provides member relations services in specified member related areas of the Credit Union

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Members’ Update Form
  2. To process members’ update forms
  3. File members update forms
  4. CUNA
  5. FIP
  6. Process members’ FIP application forms and send to CUNA
  7. Process and follow up FIP claim forms and send to CUNA
  • Prepare delinquent letters
  1. Notifies the Debt Recoveries Representative/System Administrator of deceased or disabled members
  2. Ensure that deductions are updated
  3. LS Plus
  4. Process members LS Plus applications and file
  5. Ensure that deductions are updated
  6. LS/LP
  7. Process and follow up LS/LP claims
  8. Cheque Request and Disbursement
  9. Prepare members’ request for all withdrawals in a timely manner
  10. Distribute cheques to members and suppliers
  11. Provide Member Relation Services such as:
  12. Balance Inquiries
  13. Request for Letters
  • Member Queries
  1. Change of Deductions
  2. New Member Applications
  3. Provide excellent customer service
  4. Inform and suggest new Credit Union products and services to members
  5. File all related documents to job function
  6. Act as Relief Cashier
  7. Assist with the distribution of Quarterly Statements
  8. Performs such other duties and responsibilities as can reasonably be expected of the position.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Minimum Five (5) GCE O’ Level/CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English

Diploma in Co-operative Studies or a combination of qualifications and experience.

Training and

Experience

·       Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in providing member relations services in member related areas of the Credit Union

·       In-depth knowledge of Credit Unions products and services

·       Experience in the use of the Emortelle Software would be considered an asset

   

Skills

·       Excellent interpersonal communication and customer relationship management skills

·       Service oriented with ability to exercise initiative and meet deadlines

·       High level of efficiency and  accuracy

·       Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Other

·    Age  25 – 50

·    Computer literate
