The National Agricultural Marketing & Development Corporation (NAMDEVCO) is seeking

MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES

 

Job Summary

 

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating of the Human Resources Management function within the Corporation in accordance with the Corporation’s strategic goals and objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate the achievement of the strategic objectives of the Corporation by engaging in strategic human resources management and ensuring that plans, both strategic and operational, when implemented, provide the organization with employees who possess the required skills and competencies to make a tangible contribution to the Corporation.
  • Guide management and staff and protect the interests of employees by developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures that effective, relevant and consistent with current legislation.
  • Develops and manages the Human Resources Management Information System in order to provide accurate and timely employee information to its internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the upgrade of staff skills and competencies where necessary by developing and implementing training plan to assist in the development and maintenance of an appropriate occupational, health and safety system to ensure employees operate within a safe working environment in order to maintain a good industrial relations environment.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of a healthy and productive industrial relations climate by advising on industrial relations procedures for negotiations and on strategies for resolving conflicts and disputes; engaging in Union negotiations, administering union contracts, handling grievances and resolving disputes.
  • Facilitate the alignment of workforce performance with the strategic goals of the organization by administering the Corporation’s Performance Management System.
  • Administer an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • BSc Human Resource Management/ Social Sciences and/or
  • Masters degree with specialization in Human Resources Management will be a definite asset.
  • Five (5) years relevant work experience at a senior level.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

 

  • In depth knowledge of the principles and practices of the various functional areas of human resources management.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Job Analysis techniques, compensation management principles, performance review methods and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal Communication, presentation and training skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
