Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing all inventory, merchandise, and/or products, including recording new items. To track products that come into and goes out of the inventory via inventory records ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities

  1. To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
  2. To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system
  3. To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Similarly, he/she ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
  4. To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members
  5. To supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily
  6. To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking
  7. Maintain and update inventory software and records

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years working experience in Inventory controls
  • At least 5 years experience working within the retail sector, preferably within the supermarket industry
  • Good understanding of Inventory Controls and point of sale
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and inventory software
  • Must have experience working with SMS
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Relevant qualification in Inventory/Procurement controls or relevant field will be considered an asset
  • Preferably 30 years and over
