Job Title: Manager – Bureau de Change operations

Reporting to: Managing Director

 

Responsibilities:

To understand the Bureau’s nature of business and its general operations and ensure that it operates within the Legal Framework and Regulations. 

SYSTEM:

Review of all documentation and transactions to ensure that Customer Verification procedures and Customer Due Diligence procedures are being followed, review for reasonableness, accuracy and compliance with AML/CFT rules and regulations.

Ensure that the computerized system for conducting transactions is fully functional and that all issues or deficiencies are properly logged and follow up action is taken . 

Review and report on the adequacy of the computerized system in generating the required daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Constant review of customers’ profiles and reports of High-value transactions or high-volume transactions or customers for whom pervious SAR’s were submitted. 

Risk- rate customers upon discussion with the Compliance Officer

RECORD KEEPING:

Maintain Customer records electronically and secure the information in files according to the date. 

Review all documents in the files and corroborate with information held in the computerized system. Any discrepancies found should be investigated and corrective action taken. It is required to maintain customer and transaction files for a period of six (6) years . The files are to be properly labeled, secured for authorized access only.
