Account Executive/Underwriter

An account executive or account handler, you'll act as an important link between the Insurer and the Brokers.

  • supports existing client accounts


 The primary duties: Account Executive

  • to build sales by prospecting for new clients and generate income by nurturing existing customer relationships with Brokers in the North, East and South areas
  • acting as a liaison between the company and its intermediary/Brokers
  • the key point of contact between an organisation and its clients
  • answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products, establishing new business.
  • Visit all Brokers at least once per week
  • Provide a report on visits
  • Assist in Underwriting/Policy generation/processing of transactions


  • Assist in data entry of renewal information and setting up of new policy on the system
  • Check calculation of premiums on broker slips
  • Ensure terms of agreement on broker slips comply with agreed terms on quotation slips.
  • Review proposal forms to ensure all questions are answered
  • Ensure all documentation is obtained and policy files opened with the required documents for each class of business
  • Assist in Underwriting/Policy generation/processing of transactions
  • Liaise with Brokers from time to time
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
