INTERNAL VACANCY - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
We invite suitably qualified persons to apply for the position of 'Business Development Officer.
Reporting to the Operations Managers, the Business Development Officer is generally responsible for marketing and selling the company's products and services.
■ Markets and sells the company's wide range of products and services through presentations and other information sessions with key client representatives.
■ Indentifies, pursues and converts strategic market insights into sustainable product and service selling opportunities.
■ Provides strategic insights and feedback to management with the view to create business opportunities to existing and potential customers.
■ Maintains up to date knowledge of market conditions and competitor intelligence (activities and strategies).
■ Follows up on customer referrals/ leads provided by the company and converts to sales.
■ Provides monthly and as required reports on sales performance.
■ Develops and maintains the email contact list for direct marketing purposes.
■ Performs general customer service functions that impact the execution of job-specific deliverables.
■ Accurately prepares and submits Request for proposals (RFP) and tenders on a timely basis.
■ Prepares all documentation in accordance with the relevant procedure for continuing action by the relevant department.
■ Visibly champions and supports the company's goals and objectives and uses initiative and cooperation to demonstrate alignment.
Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications
Certification in Marketing/ Business or related field
Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
Three (3) years sales experience. Experience in a security/ law enforcement environment will be an asset.
