Job description:

TITLE: Marketing Analyst

REPORTS TO: Marketing & Ecommerce Manager

LOCATION: Head Office, Chaguanas

TYPE: Full Time

Position Overview

The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for performing research and providing insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing customers, and current campaigns. The incumbent will provide support to the Marketing & Ecommerce team in developing, establishing and maintaining both traditional and digital marketing strategies to meet the organizational objectives, with a heavy focus on digital marketing campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Market Research

                     Understand business objectives and devise and evaluate methods and procedures to discover prospective customers' preferences (such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires).

                     Collect existing data on consumers, competitors, sales trends and market place and consolidate information into actionable reports.

                     Use Customer Care Information, Online Market Research and Catalogue findings to create and expand databases.

Data Analytics

                     Work with Marketing & Ecommerce Manager to develop and implement data banks, data collections systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize data efficiency and quantity for business processes.

                     Implement market campaign analysis, including pre-campaign audience targeting, in-campaign performance monitoring, and post-campaign analysis.

                     Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations, while working with the Marketing and Ecommerce Manager to measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, including digital campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

                     Work with the Marketing and Ecommerce Manager to conduct competitive analysis on various competitors to identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation in order to optimize the Company's portfolio

                     Evaluate digital program methodology to determine performance, track conversions, determine effective allocation of resources, etc.

Digital Media

                     Work with Marketing & Ecommerce Manager and Director to plan, develop and execute digital programs and campaigns, including online advertising, web site and social media design, mobile, and other deliverables.

                     Assist in planning and executing all web strategies, search engine optimization, adwords programs.

                     Draft copy and publish content material for all Excellent Stores social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, e-newsletters, blogs, etc.

                     Assist in identifying online trends and insights, and work towards optimizing online spending and performance based on the insights while giving feedback and recommendations to heighten overall effectiveness of online experience

                     Work with Marketing & Ecommerce Manager to maintain site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting.

OTHER DUTIES

Events and Promotion

                     Assist with coordinating all company events based on organizational sponsorship in order to ensure 100% branding both internally and externally.

                     Conduct branch visits to ensure promotional execution has been achieved against stipulated guidelines.

                     Conduct external site visits based on sponsorships.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in generating reports for use by the department and business as necessary.
  • Prepare, modify, proofread documents including correspondence, drafts, memos, presentations etc.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure monthly objectives are met.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Experience

                     First Degree in Marketing or Statistics related field.

                     A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the field of Marketing Research.

                     Excellent Knowledge of statistical packages, databases, MS Office, Search Engines, Web Analytics and Business Research Tools acumen.

                     Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices, and emerging trends (Facebook, Pinterest, You Tube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.).

                     Experience with supporting digital platforms, including Websites, social media, e-mail, or digital marketing.

                     Technically savvy- advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and Power point.

                     Proven Market Research Analysis Experience.

                     Experience with content SEO.

                     Valid Drivers' Permit and working vehicle to travel to various branches and locations.
