POSITION:                                                   ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER

LOCATION:                                                 GULF CITY MALL

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION:     FULL TIME PERMANENT

REPORTS TO:                                             BRANCH MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Branch Manager assists the Branch Manager with the supervision and management of any Wonderful World Branch, thereby being capable and ready to fill the role of a Manager in emergencies, holidays and also in the absence of a Manager at anytime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Demonstrates company values and guiding principles with both customers and Sales Associates.
  • Coaches, trains and develops Associates to meet and exceed company’s standards.

CASH/INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Performs all financial activities efficiently and in accordance with Company’s guidelines including cash handling, merchandise handling and reporting price changes.

LOSS PREVENTION

  • Protects the store’s funds, property and follow fellow associate’s property by confirming to and enforcing all loss prevention guiding principles, policies and controls.

VISUAL PRESENTATION/STORE MAINTENANCE

  • Maintains a well organized, clean and neat store appearance through appropriate housekeeping activities, including store room, lunch room and bathroom maintenance and organization.
  • Processes stock as necessary to ensure a full presentation of goods are on the floor at all times.

HUMAN RESOURCES/ MANAGEMENT TRAINING:

  • Under the direction of the Store Manager, records, trains, develops, motivates, supervises and counsels store associates.

GENERAL STORE OPERATIONS

The Assistant Branch Manager works along with the Branch Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of the store and that all sales targets are met.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelors’ in Management, Marketing or Communications.
  • Proficient in recruiting and retaining quality sales associates.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills with a proven track record in all areas of sales

Computer and General Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of a Point of Sale System
  • Proficient in recruiting and retaining quality sales associates.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills with a proven track record in all areas of sales.
