Marketing/Field Officer

Primary Responsibilities

  • Promote the Credit Union’s products and services. Special focus should be placed on increasing demand for the Credit Union’s loan products.
  • Develop a marketing plan and marketing activities annually.
  • Develop and distribute marketing material using social and traditional media.
  • Conduct market research (including competitors’ offerings), analyse market trends and propose measures to increase market share.
  • Conduct on site visit to members at various companies and assist with the processing of membership application form, loan application form, withdrawal forms and insurance forms.
  • Update members’ database.
  • Collaborate with AMGECU’s IT department to distribute promotional material and information to members.
  • Act as Liaison Officers’ Co-ordinator:

- Hold quarterly meetings

- Distribute forms and promotion materials

- Establish a Liaison Officer database

- Assess the Liaison Officer’s performance on a monthly basis

-    Identify potential members to function as Liaison Officers

  • Establishes and maintains effective member relationship
  • Execute the marketing strategies developed by the Board.
  • Reports weekly to General Manager/Secretary on:-

- Actual activities conducted on a daily basis

- Projection of daily activities to be conducted in the following week   

  • Reports monthly on:-

- Marketing updates

- Data on industry trends and the competitive environment.

- Recommendations for improvement on products and services.

- Undertakings and accomplishments for the month.

  • Files all documents relevant to area of responsibility
  • Performs such other duties and responsibilities as can reasonably be expected of the function

Qualifications and Experience


Minimum Five (5) GCE O’ Level/CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English

Diploma in Marketing or a combination of qualifications and experience.

Training and


  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sales and marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of Credit Unions products and services (specifically loans)
  • Experience in the use of the Emortelle Software would be considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer relationship management skills
  • Service oriented with ability to exercise initiative and meet deadlines
  • High level of efficiency and  accuracy
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ownership of a reliable working vehicle and valid driver’s permit
  • Age  25 – 50
  • Computer literate
