Job Title: Temporary Facilities Officer

Salary / Package: $46.15- $51.92 per hour

Job Type: Temporary / Contract

Job description:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Facilities Team
  • Partner with local site Safety department leadership to understand implement safety programs
  • Partner with the local Safety department leadership to ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and good working relationships with Operations leadership
  • Ensure that the company’s physical environment is kept in a clean and well-maintained manner
  • Check that agreed work by employees or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
  • Facilitate professional development of employees within the Facilities department
  • Develop Facilities business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans
  • Prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors
  • Project management, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
  • Direct, coordinate and plan essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
  • Plan the best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organize of current premises
  • Coordinate and lead one or more persons/teams to cover various areas of responsibility
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies/ urgent issues as they arise
  • Develop and track assigned budget
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager – Operations

Qualifications required:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) ordinary level passes, Mathematics and English Language included
  • Certificate in Facilities Management or a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in facilities Management or related field, preferred
