One of the companies in the group is Rahamut Enterprises Ltd (REL). REL is a the largest retailer and distributor of diesel fuel on behalf of NP and the largest transporter of other petroleum products and bulk liquids, servicing local and multinational customers. In the non fuel division, REL is the exclusive distributor of Phillips 66 and Kendall lubricants and greases. The former offers optimal equipment protection and performance and maintains a strong brand presence in the mining, natural gas engine oil, power generation, injection molding, construction/aggregate, fleet, automotive and industrial market segments; the latter is highly regarded in the passenger car and heavy-duty engine oil segments. In the environmental and safety products arena, REL is the exclusive distributor of PRIDE products, both coolants and degreasers.
The operation is based in San Fernando and has a staff complement of approximately 55 persons. The Inventory Controller plays an important role in managing the Company's Inventory and reports to the General Manager (Ag.). The Inventory Controller’s main responsibility is being the custodian - via warehousing and other internal controls for all lubricants and other (non-fuel) products (automotive, gloves, degreasers etc) distributed by the company. The position holder has the responsibility of ensuring that there is an adequate amount of inventory to satisfy customer requirements and also managing the daily movement of inventory (sales, purchases, returns) to ensure proper recording and accountability. The position holder also ensures that all orders are delivered on time as well as performing other duties geared towards the efficient running of the Lubes Division. Additionally, the position holder is expected to adhere to the company’s policies and procedures with reference to Health, Safety and the Environment and the Occupational Safety and Health Act and to ensure that all employees under his span of control do the same.
Person Specifications Minimum acceptable academic/technical/professional qualifications: Five C.X.C / G.C.E. O’ Levels including Mathematics and English Certification (seminar/workshop) in Inventory Management from a recognized institution. Maximum number of years of relevant experience Three (3) years experience in a similar environment. Specific skills /experience and/or knowledge Ability to implement Inventory Systems. Ability to function as an effective team member Ability to motivate others to adhere to the company’s policies on Health, Safety and the Environment. Negotiating skills. Good Interpersonal skills. Computer Literate.
