Job description:


  • Prepare documentation on audit procedures, overseeing the implementation and enforcement of such, with the aim of increasing overall efficiency within the organization
  • Randomly select and review documents processed within the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulatory framework
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management intervention
  • Evaluate and report on areas of risk exposure as required
  • Make recommendations for improving organizational and operational efficiency
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and supervisory committee, working closely with both to improve internal control processes and compliance within the established policies and procedures
  • Identify and report on internal control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
  • Facilitate staff development, providing support and education in Anti-Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering programs
  • Provide reports monthly, or as required, to the Board of Directors and CEO on audit related issues
  • Any other related duties as directed by the Board of Directors and CEO

Qualifications required:


  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Auditing, Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s degree would be considered an asset
  • IIA Membership or related organization would be considered
  • Qualified professional in ACCA, CIA, Risk/Compliance or related discipline
  • Knowledge/Experience in FIU and CBTT financial regulations
  • Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (reporting and presenting)
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Solution oriented and customer focused
  • Awareness of local, regional and international economic and financial markets
  • Ability to work independently and to make difficult decisions
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality


  • Standard office working conditions; noise level is quiet to moderate
  • Proper use of communication devices and other office equipment required
  • Frequently required to sit; talk; or hear
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g. ream of paper)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
