Job description:

A Private Security Company in West Trinidad is seeking to hire the following position:

Position title:     Operations Supervisor
Reports to:         Managing Director
Location:              Head Office, Diego Martin
Position Type:    Full time

Position Summary: The Operations Supervisor is the strategic lead and driver of the Operational functions and day-to-day activities of the Operations Department through systematic planning and utilization of human and other resources. The incumbent will be a senior team player and is responsible for ensuring team development through exemplary behavior and coaching strategies.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordinating the daily operational activities, including but not limited to, rostering, scheduling, dispatching, staffing
  • Must be able to reconcile required resources  with business needs through forecasting and strategic decision making, presenting same to Management in specified time frames
  • Prepare an annual budget for the Operations Department
  • Identify and execute alternative options in response to business needs
  • Creates the Daily Planning Sheets of Drivers for scheduling of work the following day
  • Developing and maintaining of databases 
  • Communicates with the Senior Managers, Officers, HR and Directors on all operational issues which can negatively impact on the Company’s business.
  • Conducts external site visits to clients’ locations to resolve any arising issues, maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Liaising with clients regarding any matters of concern and have them complete monthly assessment sheets on officers’ performance while on duty
  • Ensure that KPIs are prepared and reviewed as well as signed and executed by all employees under your purview. Provide support where employees are experiencing challenges
  • Prepares various reports for submission to Management; the reports should focus on, but not limited to operational performance.
  • Managing performance of Operational Staff, immediately escalating any queries, disciplinary and grievance matters to HR
  • Analysis of key operational documents for variances, submitting findings along with recommendations to Management.
  • Conducts specified HS&E audits as required under the Company’s HSE Management System.
  • Remedies any issues with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed
  • Any other related duties as assigned




A Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Administration

Post Graduate Certification in Management will be considered an asset

Five-Ten (5-10) years management experience in a fast paced environment leading a team

Security/Military Experience is preferred

Experience in the field of Information Technology and Project management

Excellent Communication Skills and a strong customer service orientation (internal/external)

Ability to make good decisions and provide support to both internal and external stakeholders
