Position:              Sales Officer

Reports to:           Chief Executive Officer

Assists:                 Food and Beverage Department

                             Department Managers



Under the direction of the CEO, develops short and long term sales goals and plans strategies for achieving them for the Hotel, Marina, Restaurant and related facilities.


  • Responsible for selling the Company’s facilities to Clients
  • Responsible for booking all Conference & Banquets, including Conference rooms, meals, snacks and beverages and hotel rooms
  • Ensures that all requests for sales actions are responded to promptly
  • Ensures attainment of agreed sales and profit targets consistent with budgets and corporate policy
  • Assists Clients in the selection of food and beverage menu using up selling technique to maximize revenue
  • Contacts client to confirm meeting dates, times, number attending and hotel and meeting room requirements.  Follows up regularly to receive updated information and obtain a guaranteed commitment
  • Determines outside vendor service needs (e.g. entertainment, audio/visual, local tours, tents, chairs, etc.)
  • Inspects meeting room set-up to ensure compliance with client specifications
  • Co-ordinates internal functions when necessary
  • Ensures that all communications and expectations of customers holding functions are well communicated to all department heads and relevant staff
  • Monitors functions to ensure that customer’s expectations are met and that CrewsInn’s standards and image are maintained
  • Maintains standard of appearance, dress and deportment in keeping with CrewsInn’s requirements
  • Plans achievements to tasks to ensure that time is used to maximum effect
  • Provides room showings and assists in the general sales and marketing of the company
  • Obtains Client feedback to evaluate customer satisfaction, competitors activity, customer needs and customer problems
  • Defines new products/services needed to meet future customer requirements
  • Conducts research to determine competitors products & services, prices, practices, policies and weaknesses
  • Compiles lists of prospective Clients for use as sales leads based on information obtained from newspapers, business directories and other sources
  • Assists the CEO in the implementation of the Sales and Marketing Plan
  • Assists the CEO in development of advertising and promotional material
  • Assists the CEO in areas of guest services planning, event planning and execution and pricing.
  • Assists the CEO as necessary in fulfilling his/her duties in order to achieve the company’s objectives

  • Knowledge of market concepts and principles
  • Good organizational skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
  • At least 2 years working experience in sales and/or customer service
