Job description:




The Project & Events Coordinator will lead project activities and manage the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans as well as coordinate various events. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for taking care of all events logistics both directly and in a small team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Identify the objectives of the project/event and determine the requirements that must be met to accomplish those objectives (i.e. - Develop all plans relevant to projects and events {marketing/sales forecast implementation} and/or carry out all logistics).
  • Coordinate internal resources (different departments) and 3rd party/vendors for the flawless executive of projects.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project and event risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project and events documentation
  • Meet with the Management team periodically to provide update or changes in project scope, schedule and cost and to ensure project and events are aligned to the company’s objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Develop project/event scopes and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Meet with clients to get detailed briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Where necessary recruit specialists and sub-contractors
  • Develop comprehensive plans that can be shared with clients and other staff members.
  • Close out all projects/events as required.
  • Perform any other duties that may arise from time to time.
Job Demands
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Project Management
  • Background in Marketing will be an asset
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing overall operational/project logistics.
  • Strong organizational skills, record keeping and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Work in a fast paced environment.
  • Work under pressure within specified timeframes.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Provide creative ideas and solutions.
  • Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships (internally and externally).
