Job Title: Independent Workshop Specialist

Job description:



Job Purpose

The incumbent works closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Support teams to acquire, develop and manage the necessary customer relationships within the Automotive Repair Workshop Channel. The individual will be required to work with Customers at all levels and to co-ordinate the activities of all other internal and external service providers supporting these accounts to achieve overall sales targets and to establish the brand as the preferred supplier in the industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinates and executes Sales and Marketing activities including but not limited to training and branding
  • Develops new business opportunities
  • Recommends and manages contracts with workshops
  • Positively influences volume and market share at the High Street trade via the automotive workshop
  • Plans and develops new offerings to existing and potential accounts
  • Develops, updates and implements the Account Plan covering products, services packages,
  • Analyses changing customer needs and business environments to ensure the most appropriate service providers are assigned to fulfill the customer’s needs
  • Plans, monitors and achieves specified targets
  • Researches key competitors in the industry, and utilizes findings to develop opportunities arising from these
  • Keeps abreast of HSE issues that affect customers and their environments
  • Organizes regular business review meetings with the service team to facilitate the sharing of customer information
  • Develops and executes cross, range and up selling activities.
  • Develops and conducts presentations via toolbox meetings
  • Provides information updates using the appropriate systems
  • Generates monthly reports detailing sales, activities and prospects
  • Any other related duties that may be assigned by the Sales & Marketing Manager

Academic Qualifications, Experience and Soft Skills

  • A diploma in Business Management/ Sales & Marketing
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position with a proven track record in Sales & Marketing
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products
  • A valid driver’s permit
  • Owning a vehicle will be considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
  • Team oriented
  • Exceptional ability to plan, organize, and multitask while maintaining accuracy.
  • Detail oriented
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • The ability to motivate and direct others
