We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:
Flight Operations Officer (Trinidad)
The Flight Operations Officer will report to the Duty Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for the legal Dispatch of all the Airlines flights, by Analysing and preparing all flight planning documents for the flight crew. Also, ensuring continuous flight watch on all flights in order to minimize issues which can affect safety, on time performance and customer service. He/she will plan all company flights whilst ensuring safety, efficiency and service consistent with corporate policy and regulatory requirements. He/she will assist the Duty Manager in situations of irregular operations and or disruptions.
- Customer Service: Seek ways to improve service delivery by assessing the organization and its service from the customer’s point of view.
- Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.
- Operational Effectiveness- Ensures effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources, towards achieving the company’s goals of safety and cost effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with national and international aviation requirements, and in particular, with the terms and conditions of TTCAA and FAA.
You must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Systems Operations Control Department or equivalent experience in a technical aviation environment, with a minimum of (5) CXC passes, including Math and English. You must have a Certified Despatch Licence or Pilots Licence. You must have an understanding of all areas that encompass flight operations and all navigational processes and procedures e.g. ETOPS, MEL, RVSM, MNPS. You must demonstrate knowledge of aircraft performance limitations and/or requirements. A valid TTCAA Flight Operations Authorization or an FAA Dispatch License would be an asset.
You will have a strong customer service orientation; the ability to work independently, to work well under pressure and set priorities; and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, and analytical skills.
