This position resides in the Engineering & Maintenance Department, reporting to the Senior Electrical and Instrument (E&I) Engineer, responsible for the supervision of the E&I Maintenance Technical Team, and ancillary service staff. The E&I Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that equipment reliability is maintained in strict adherence to design/operating capacity requirements and company procedures and guidelines, whilst providing the expected performance delivery.
The position is accountable for managing, scheduling and reporting all corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance for all types of Facility’s E&I assets and its associated buildings, by diagnosing, and troubleshooting all equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, and ensures availability and reliability of the Plant E&I assets in accordance with all statutory, health, safety, security and environmental requirements and Company Policies.
Other duties include, but are not limited to: supervises, plans, organizes, and coordinates resources to maximize efficiency and ensure optimum staffing levels; reviews timesheets and reports for accuracy and conducts training; co-ordinates activities of the Team to ensure all resources for work (special instruments, tools and relevant spares) are available prior to any repair work; manages the work management process in analysing spares and preventative maintenance program, and develops, implements and manages the Asset Integrity Management Program for all E&I Equipment for both Inside Battery Limit (ISBL) and Outside Battery Limit (OSBL). The E&I Supervisor also coordinates TAR Planning and execution activities as required for shutdowns and turnarounds.
Qualifications/ Experience Required
BSc Electrical Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience working in a gas processing or similar plant, five (5) of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Technician’s Diploma or equivalent (BTECH, NEC, HNC, or City & Guild), with at least fifteen (15) years’ experience, five (5) of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
Technically sound knowledge with all process E&I field devices, Preventative Maintenance programs – (pumps, fans, motors and switchgears); Power Generation & Distribution, and Medium Voltage systems - 12.7 kV and 2.4 kV., Instrument Logic Drawings (ILD), Plant & Instrumentation Drawings (PID), Cause and effects, and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD). Proven experience in the operation, configuration and maintenance of Control systems (SIS/DCS/PLC, supporting the operation of fire and gas systems; Utilities (Heaters, WTA, BOG compressors, Air packages & N2 packages; UPS Systems and Grounding Grid and HVAC Systems.
Proven experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems– Maximo, SAP, Docushare, MS project and MS Office is required. Highly organized with proven experience in being able to prioritize and multi task effectively and efficiently with all levels end users and suppliers both verbally and written are critical competencies.
