Job description:

Job Purpose:
Ensuring that the Board has proper advice and resources for discharging its administrative duties to foster effective management and efficient operation of the Company’s mandate.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Serve as a liaison for the Board and Management
2. Coordinating all administrative arrangements for the timely and efficient conduct of Board and Committee meetings
3. Drafting and maintaining minutes of Board and Committee meetings in an accurate and comprehensive manner and monitor subsequent actions in accordance with resolutions of those meetings
4. Preparing Budgets for the Corporate Secretariat and monitoring expenditure to ensure compliance
5. Preparing memos, letters and other important correspondence for Board members and Management
6. Promoting knowledge and understanding about corporate governance principles as well as promoting and monitoring compliance among the Board of Directors
7. Arranging performance assessments of the Board of Directors and reporting the performance assessment results to the Line Minister
8. Ensuring that the Board and related facilities are maintained and in good working condition
9. Receiving and extending corporate hospitality to visitors and business associates of the Board
10. Preparing agendas and documents for the Board of Directors meetings
11. Performing other related duties as may be deemed necessary

Qualifications required:

Qualifications and Experience:
• LLB and Legal Education Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of three (3) years in Corporate Law or the equivalent of legal experience
• Knowledge in Industrial Relations would be preferred
• Any other appropriate qualification and related experience may be considered
