Quality Control Officer

Location: Nutrimix Feeds Limited, Barrackpore Application Deadline: August 7, 2026

About the Role
Are you ready to join our team? As a Quality Control Officer, you will oversee daily laboratory testing, data analysis, and quality trending for our feed blends. You will play a vital role in upholding our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring full adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP principles.

Key Responsibilities
Product Quality & Testing: Routinely sample, analyze, and trend results for finished feeds using physical, chemical, and microbiological standards.
Raw Material Verification: Test incoming raw materials, review standards, and advise on any quality defects or variations.
Lab Management: Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment, ensuring regular calibration, accuracy, and necessary repairs.
Corrective Actions: Lead and assist with Root Cause Analyses for customer complaints and sub-standard materials.
Audits & Development: Support plant inspections, verification exercises, employee training, audits, and ongoing research/development projects.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Food Manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO Management Systems (e.g., FSSC 22000, ISO 9001), GMPs, and HACCP is a strong asset.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands: Must be physically fit (able to stand for extended periods, bend, and climb) and comfortable working in environments with heat and dust.
