Senior Quality Engineer Full Time

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Focus on the technical aspects of quality, such as implementing quality control procedures, analyzing data for improvements, and ensuring products or services meet standards
• Ensures processes, procedures, and standards are followed
• Responsible for delivering the optimum quality of the company’s services or goods and the prevention of defects in end product.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and environmental standards and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Create procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues.
• Monitoring all operations that affect product and service quality
• Supervising and guiding inspectors, technicians, and other staff, troubleshooting issues when they arise.
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
• Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing to information analysis; Review current standards and policies.
• Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• A Degree in any discipline of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical etc)
• Formal training with ISO 9001:2015, API Q1, 5B, 7-1, 7-2, NDT, process
• At least 5 years working experience in the technical environment with exposure to Quality Assurance, Quality Control or process operations
• Quality Assurance certification e.g., CQE may be considered and asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Relevant experience in quality inspections, auditing and testing.
• Ample experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures.
• Quality Assurance knowledge of tools and methodologies
• Sound knowledge of threading and special processes within a manufacturing environment for the oil and gas industry.
• Good Analytical, organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Proven ability and skills to conduct root cause analysis and incident investigations.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and demands.
• Excellent coaching skills and the ability to lead and coach a team of QA/QC professionals.
• Proven ability to create and sustain effective working relationships in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate and articulate ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Strong technical skills with PC/Software/CMMS based systems & technical writing.
• Ability to interact with all staff at all levels.
• Liaises with relevant statutory bodies, license representatives, training suppliers, consultants, vendors etc.
