We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:
SCHEDULING ANALYST
(CONTRACT POSITION)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Scheduling Analyst will lead a team focused on the development and analysis of Caribbean Airlines’ schedules in alignment with corporate objectives. The role is responsible for ensuring commercial viability, enhancing operational reliability and timeliness, and supporting schedule production through forecasts, block hour and flight time analysis, cycles, aircraft utilisation, and route network optimisation. The incumbent will coordinate traffic programmes for scheduled and non-scheduled services, including charters, aircraft positioning, rerouting and retiming of flights, while maintaining accurate schedule change records and slot records at controlled airports. The role also represents Caribbean Airlines in slot negotiation and coordination with relevant authorities and works closely with senior managers to develop and implement interdepartmental strategies through quantitative analysis of passenger demand, aircraft utilisation and schedule integrity.
The duration of this contract is 2 years.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
I. Strategic Planning: Leads the team in the development and implementation of efficient schedules aligned to corporate revenue objectives.
II. Operational Effectiveness: Develops, upgrades and implements plans and commercial schedules, working closely with Revenue Management to support profitable operations and commercial demand.
III. Customer Service Delivery: Provides Commercial, Operations and Maintenance teams with appropriate schedule proposals, plans and resources to optimise the network and support strategic direction.
IV. Regulatory Compliance: Remains current with industry requirements for schedule submissions in international systems and analyses operational constraints within planned schedules.
V. Relationship Management: Builds mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial, Operations, Maintenance, slot and aviation authorities.
VI. People Management: Develops direct reports through performance management, coaching, training identification and leadership support.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent education in relevant courses offered by accredited airline institutions.
A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in schedule planning, including developing plans and procedures and commercial schedules.
Extensive understanding of slot coordination procedures and schedule planning software.
Knowledge of schedule data transmission and updates.
Established proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
IATA certification in Network, Fleet and Schedule Planning and Slot Coordination.
Strong analytical, research, communication, negotiation, leadership, presentation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to engage, develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support the aims and vision of the Commercial Division.
