VACANCY NOTICE

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:

SENIOR MANAGER, SECURITY

(CONTRACT)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Security will report to the Executive Manager, Quality and Air Safety. The incumbent will coordinate the Security operations systemwide, in accordance with International Civil Aviation requirements, TTCAA requirements, Caribbean Airline’s standards and international requirements. He/she will support the introduction of company security strategy initiatives to counteract fines, transportation of illegal substances, and pilferage.

The duration of this contract will be 2 years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures the safety and security of the airlines’ passengers, employees, equipment and property.
Coordinates the review and evaluation of security training programmes, manuals and procedures, to ensure compliance with regulations.
Reviews nonconformance reports/findings from the internal and external entities and ensures that corrective actions are implemented as required.
Initiates special security measures during periods of increased risk and/or for critical flights and routes.
Conducts regular risk and threat assessments of the security operations at Caribbean Airlines system wide, ensuring an effective Caribbean Airlines threat/occurrence response capability.
Manages Station start-up projects, including ensuring that mandatory security training for personnel, at line stations are accomplished.
Liaises and consults with local and international authorities concerning security-related issues. Keeps abreast of applicable legislation and regulations relating to aviation security at the Line Stations served by Caribbean Airlines.
Ensures mitigating actions to minimise acts of unlawful interference against the Airline and its operation.
Ensures the necessary compliance Audits are conducted system-wide periodically to safeguard security operations.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications and Experience:A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business Management or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation security or extensive training in the security field.
At least five (5) years must be in a senior leadership position.
Experience in the management / development of security procedures and Training Programme manuals.
Experience in the review and management of contracts.
Knowledge and Competency:Knowledgeable on regulatory and law enforcement requirements in our key jurisdictions.
Knowledge of Emergency Planning and Response for Airlines and Airports.
Confident in the delivery of written reports, risk assessments and briefings to senior leadership.
Competency in Security Risk assessment and mitigation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate excellent decision-making skills under pressure.
Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning.
Strong customer orientation, while focusing on profitability and productivity.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
The ability to influence others and sound leadership skills with an innovative mindset.
Additional Information:

The successful candidate will be based at the company’s head office in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
You must be legally authorized to live and work in Trinidad & Tobago
You may be required to travel to other Caribbean Airline jurisdictions.
