Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is state-owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil. We are inviting talented, innovative, passionate and suitably qualified persons to apply for the following roles.
Job Purpose
To provide business and financial insights to drive and monitor business performance.
To establish and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
To deliver management consolidation, preparation of closing management reports, analytical documents, board financial reviews and other management reporting such as Heritage dashboard and the reporting of savings.
To develop strategic planning framework and long-term financial plan.
Key Accountabilities
Provides accurate and timely analysis of the Heritage’s financial results for management use (management reporting).
Provides meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations to Heritage leadership on historic and potential future financial performance of Heritage and individual BUs.
Identifies key risks and opportunities for improvement of financial performance.
Delivers executive financial reviews to executive management and the Board highlighting business performance & outlook, outlining significant milestones and events, key metrics, significant issues and specific actions required.
Coordinates with planning & performance function on reporting and validating the consolidated savings.
Establishes and maintains effective management information ERP system including business planning and consolidation.
Identifies key financial and non-financial metrics (dashboard) at Heritage and BU level, develop the systems, information management processes to capture and monitor these business KPIs.
Provides advice on utilizing financial modelling for new business opportunities on the financial feasibility as part of due diligence.
Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Financial Control and utilizes Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
Develops and implements staffing strategy and effectively leads a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture.
Supports the development of departmental budgets and monitors and controls utilization.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Member of a body registered with ICATT such as ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Master’s degree in Business Administration will be an asset.
Minimum Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Five (5) years’ experience in a senior managerial role
Experience in managing global finance operations is highly preferred.
Job Specific Skills
Strong knowledge budgeting and financial forecasting, experience with financial reporting and analysis.
Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle preferred.
Development of financial models using spreadsheets and database tools.
Strong presentation skills required to present financial results to management and the ability to influence others.
