DRIVER/COURIER
The Driver/Courier is responsible for providing safe, reliable and efficient transportation and courier services in support of the Corporation’s operations. The incumbent ensures the timely collection and delivery of official correspondence, documents and materials, maintains the assigned vehicle in a clean, roadworthy and serviceable condition, and contributes to the efficient execution of official business through effective route planning, standby availability, professionalism and strict confidentiality.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide transportation in support of official meetings, inspections, site visits, stakeholder engagements, functions and other official assignments.
Maintain standby availability, as required, to support operational requirements.
Collect, transport and deliver official correspondence, confidential documents, packages and other documents on behalf of the Corporation.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in a clean, roadworthy and serviceable condition, including monitoring servicing schedules, inspections, licensing, insurance and fuel usage.
Plan efficient travel routes to maximise punctuality and operational efficiency.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding official meetings, discussions, documents and movements.
Provide basic situational awareness and operational support during official engagements, where required.
Support official duties outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, where operationally required
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
• Certificate of Character issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, dated no more than six
(6) months prior to the application closing date.
Valid Certificate in Defensive Driving from a recognized training provider.
Valid Trinidad and Tobago Driver’s Permit with a minimum of ten (10) years’ driving experience.
