JOB TITLE: RTW Driver – 10 Tons & Over

Job Summary
The RTW Driver is generally accountable for contributing to customer service by driving the Road Tank Wagons to transport and deliver fuel in bulk to Service Stations and other customers, ensuring adherence to the Company’s safety standards and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Monitors the loading procedures and paying attention to the loading sequence.
Verifies with Plant Attendants the precise quantities being loaded.
Promotes road safety and the Company’s image on the road by driving with courtesy and in accordance with regulations.
Facilitates safe and efficient delivery of fuels by ensuring the immediate area and circumstances allow for the safe discharge of product.
Helps in placement of mechanisms/equipment at the Service Station.
Liaises with client to verify quantities prior to and after off-loading.
Presents relevant documents for client verification and signature.
Secures hoses and other accessories and equipment on completion.
Checks fuels, lubricants etc. daily before driving the vehicle.
Notifies technicians of required maintenance or repairs needed to the RTW.
Ensures the collection of cheques/payments for product upon delivery as required.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Performs any other duties as required by the job function.

Candidate Profile
Three (3) G.C.E./C.X.C. O’ Level General Proficiency passes.
Class V Driver’s Permit.
Minimum of two (2) years’ post Class V experience and two (2) years’ operating articulated vehicles.
Or any other equivalent combination of qualification and experience.
Basic mechanical skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Good vision and hearing.
Customer service skills.
Note: Candidates will be required to successfully complete an in-house practical driving test.
