BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER I
Job Summary
To perform professional duties relating to medical equipment management throughout the Authority so as to facilitate the achievement of operational goals and objectives in accordance with International safety standards.
Key Functions
• Supervision and administration of highly skilled and specialized repair services and calibration services to a variety of specialized biomedical equipment.
• Supervision and provision of preventative maintenance services on specialized biomedical equipment.
• Demonstration and training for safe and proper usage of equipment.
• Auditing and quality assurance of all specialized biomedical equipment and operation of same in accordance with stringent international safety standards and guidelines.
• Supporting and advising the department head as required.
• Preparation of reports.
Minimum Requirements and Experience
• A University Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Technology, with appropriate certification in repair of specialist equipment and systems.
• Formal Training in supervisory management.
• At least five (5) years post qualification experience in a similar or related job function in a recognized hospital/health care environment.
