Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is state-owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil. We are inviting talented, innovative, passionate and suitably qualified persons to apply for the following roles.

Job Purpose
To manage and advance the technical integrity of process and non-process assets within Heritage operations through the safe and consistent application of laws/regulations, Engineering Technical Practices, industry codes and standards as well as the Company policies and procedures
Key Accountabilities
•    Develops, maintains, and embeds continuous improvement and compliance with Engineering Technical Practices (ETPs) within said engineering discipline.
•    Advises on the use of appropriate standards, practices and design guidelines for engineering discipline as well the selection of relevant Engineering Technical Practices, industry standards and design guides.
•    Advises on and sets maintenance and inspection frequencies and techniques within the said engineering specialty.
•    Ensures that reliable and expert advice in the field of engineering discipline is given to the Engineering Manager, BULs and other members of staff, as required.
•    Ensures that adequate risk management strategies are implemented on technically significant issues in the area of expertise and evaluates risk associated with each decision or recommendation presented.
•    Provides assurance that the respective engineering aspects of changes, both temporary and permanent, are risk assessed, managed and documented.
•    Advises on the maintenance, inspection, test frequencies and techniques for all equipment on the plant as well as project specific specifications within the said engineering specialty.
•    Supports the use of relevant engineering lessons and innovative techniques derived from the industry.
•    Ensures that the facility operates within the design envelopes, or that equipment and structures do not exceed design limits, and that any deviations to such are rectified.
•    Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Engineering Discipline and utilizes Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
•    Develops and implements staffing strategy and effectively leads a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture.
•    Supports the development of departmental budgets and monitors and controls utilization.
•    Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, from a recognised, accredited institution.
•    Master’s Degree in a related Engineering discipline is highly recommended.
•    Professional certification in at least one of the following: Certified by the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago; registered as Professional Engineer (P.E.) in a state in USA or a province in Canada or Chartered Engineer (C.E.) UK standard.

Minimum Experience
•    A minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience spanning both the Oil and Gas and Engineering and Construction industries.
•    A minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role, preferably in the oil and gas industry
