Job Purpose
To oversee the administration of land assets including rights to surface lands and minerals, and assessment/settlement of claims in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Oversees the identification of lands of interest to the Company, reviews reports on ownership for land acquisition or agreements and verification of title to lands for the Company’s operations.
Monitors and provides instructions and guidance to service providers for interactions with the Company and for executing valuations and surveys and other pertinent operations in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Monitors and provides instructions and guidance to reporting staff and external contractors in the execution of their duties.
Attends court and tribunals as company witness as necessary.
Reviews reports, analyses and verifies title to surface and sub subsurface (mineral rights) of lands for the Company’s operations, including documents for rental payments.
Oversees conveyancing process and supporting operations on behalf of the Company.
Monitors the updating and maintenance of the Land Holdings Management System (LHMS) database or equivalent.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Law, Surveying or Estate Management.
Post graduate qualifications in land management, law, surveying, and estate management would be considered an asset.
Understanding of land use laws, property rights, and environmental regulations and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, leadership and negotiation abilities.
Minimum Experience
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in land management, law, surveying, and estate management.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in land and real property valuations within Trinidad and Tobago.
Two (2) years’ supervisory experience.
