SECURITY AGENT, DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
(CONTRACT POSITION)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Agent, Document Verification will report to the Lead Security Agent, Document Verification and will conduct document verification checks for key flights in an effective, accurate and timely manner, in keeping with established guidelines and Caribbean Airlines standards. The role supports the prevention of fines and penalties associated with the transportation of inadmissible passengers by identifying potential document or admissibility concerns, monitoring flight activity, maintaining accurate records, and reporting all intercepts to support an accurate and updated database. The incumbent will follow applicable processes and will assist the line manager by working collaboratively with Customer Service, line stations, law enforcement and relevant government agencies where required.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
I. Operational Effectiveness: Conducts proper and thorough document verification checks on flights destined to the United States, Canada, and other identified high-risk locations within our network using approved techniques and methods learnt during related training.
II. Flight Monitoring and Coverage: Monitors aircraft and flight schedules, disruptions and daily flight changes, reporting updates to ensure appropriate document-check coverage is approved and arranged.
III. Risk Identification: Reviews reservation information in advance of flight departure to identify bookings, travel patterns and trends associated with backtracking or inadmissible passenger travel.
IV. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Conforms with applicable memoranda of understanding, agreements, local and international security regulatory requirements, and maintains accurate records of intercepts and related documentation.
V. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaises with Customer Service, line station representatives, law enforcement and government agencies as required to support denied boarding requests, document checks and investigations involving fraudulent documents.
VI. Equipment and Gate Oversight: Safely stores and maintains document verification equipment and assists with oversight of contracted security personnel performing screening functions at the boarding gate.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:
Education & Experience
A minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC/GCE Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Aviation Security.
Must be able to successfully complete the CAL Initial Security Aviation Training Programme.
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Working knowledge of local and international security regulatory requirements.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
A valid Driver’s Permit and Passport.
Must meet pre-employment medical, background and security requirements, including aptitude or personality assessment where applicable. Formal aviation training, OSHA Certification, knowledge of First Aid techniques, proficiency in a foreign language, knowledge of related airline operational systems, or at least six (6) months’ experience in a customer service environment would be considered assets.

Regulatory Governance and Compliance: Demonstrates awareness of aviation security requirements and follows established procedures consistently.
