Head of Cargo Operations Full Time NEW

JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Cargo Operations will be accountable for all global Cargo Operations processes and procedures and manage all third-party providers, i.e. cargo warehouse and freighter ramp ground handlers, trucking providers, and Caribbean Airlines Cargo Operations team members across the Network. Ensures service delivery and achievement of procedural compliance while developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance service provision robustness in line with Commercial expectations and new cargo products/services. Addresses Cargo Handling Invoice Verification and claims, Line Cargo Operations, and Freighter Operations.

The duration of this contract will be two (2) years.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Operations Management: Provides strategic leadership to the Cargo Operations Network, Invoice Verification and Claims, Line Operations and Freighter Operations by established timelines.
Operational Effectiveness: Ensures effective and efficient utilisation of assigned resources to achieve operational goals and standards by requirements.
Customer Service: Develops cost-effective service standards and ensures that all station third-party providers meet and exceed customer expectations.
Vendor Management: Maintains and manages a professional relationship with vendors in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual terms.
Continuous Improvement: Reviews current systems and processes to identify and address improvement areas to meet and exceed operational goals and standards.
People Management: Provides leadership, direction, coaching and guidance to team members to achieve corporate objectives, continuous improvement and professional growth and development of team members.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Operational Management, Engineering or related field.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a Cargo Operations environment in a management role.
Certification in Project Management, Business Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma or experience in the airline cargo business would be an asset.
You will have a proven record of accomplishment in a similar role, consistently driving growth ahead of the overall market, with a track record of success in delivering revenue targets.
