The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest rooms, public areas and other assigned areas in the hotel.
The candidate performs any combination of tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, laundry duties and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. Demonstrates a professional, friendly, warm and welcoming demeanor to all guests and employees.

To be successful as a Housekeeping Attendant you must be honest, pleasant, and have detailed knowledge of, and comply with, all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.

Duties include:
Changing linens and making beds.
Replacing soiled towels and bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap etc.
Sweeping, mopping floors and vacuuming carpets.
Dusting and polishing furniture.
Emptying trash containers.
Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
Greeting guests and responding to queries.
Updating status of guest rooms.
Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
Assist in all functional areas of Housekeeping to meet operational needs

Qualifications
At least 3 O ‘levels, or a hospitality trade Certificate.
Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience preferably in a hospitality environment.
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work shifts which includes late hours, weekends and holidays.
Must be a team player and flexible to work in any of the assigned housekeeping areas
Physically able to do considerable amount of lifting, pushing, stretching and bending, with moderate amount of weight.
