Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and governance of the Company’s corporate HSE framework, standards and performance assurance programmes. To champion and drive consistent HSE management, risk reduction and continual improvement across business units in alignment with corporate objectives, OMS requirements and legislation.
Key Accountabilities
• Develops and implements the Company’s corporate HSE strategy, governance framework and annual priorities.
• Leads the development and continuous improvement of corporate HSE policies, standards, procedures and management system requirements.
• Provides strategic oversight of HSE performance, risk management and assurance across business units and advises leadership on material HSE risks.
• Establishes corporate HSE performance measures, dashboards and reporting processes and analyses leading and lagging indicators.
• Coordinates corporate HSE assurance, audits, management reviews and effectiveness assessments and monitors resulting actions.
• Provides technical governance and guidance to operational and functional HSE teams to promote consistent application of Company requirements.
• Leads corporate reviews of significant HSE incidents, trends and systemic failures and ensures organisational learning is translated into improvement actions.
• Monitors emerging HSE legislation, standards and industry practices and coordinates updates to corporate requirements and programmes.
• Engages senior management, regulators, industry bodies and external specialists on strategic HSE matters.
• Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for the team and utilizes the Performance Management System to measure, manage and motivate performance.
• Develops and implements staffing strategy, leads team development and supports departmental budget development, monitoring and control.
• Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional membership or certification, such as IMO Level 2, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the relevant discipline, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
A minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role.
