Job Purpose
To lead the Company’s emergency preparedness and response programme to ensure the organization can effectively respond to incidents that threaten the safety of personnel, the environment, assets, reputation, and business operations.
Key Accountabilities
Leads Emergency Response Operations by directing the safe and effective delivery of emergency response services across three designated fire station areas, ensuring continuous operational readiness and compliance with Company standards, emergency response procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Manages Fire Station Operations by maintaining and overseeing the facilities, equipment, emergency response resources, and personnel assigned to the three fire station areas to ensure a sustained state of operational preparedness.
Coordinates 24-Hour Emergency Response Liaison by serving as the primary operational liaison with the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) and other emergency response agencies, ensuring effective communication, resource coordination, support, and incident management during emergency events.
Manages the Emergency Response Fleet by maintaining and administering a fleet of emergency response vehicles, ensuring scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, regulatory compliance, and operational availability to support emergency response activities.
Leads and manages the Company’s Emergency Response Programme by establishing governance, standards, and management systems that ensure sustained emergency preparedness, response capability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives and the HSE Management System.
Directs the development, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of enterprise-wide emergency preparedness and response plans for fire, medical, oil spill, security, natural hazards, cyber incidents, and business disruptions, ensuring organizational resilience across all business units.
Provides strategic leadership for emergency response capability by ensuring the operational readiness of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Incident Command Posts (ICP), emergency communications, firefighting systems, spill response assets, rescue equipment, and other emergency response resources.
Leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of emergency preparedness activities, including training, competency development, certification programmes, tabletop exercises, functional exercises, and full-scale emergency simulations to validate organizational readiness and response effectiveness.
Provides technical leadership and strategic guidance during emergency incidents by supporting Incident Management Teams, participating in the Company’s Major Emergency On-Call Rotation, and ensuring effective incident management and decision-making during emergencies.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or Environment, or Engineering, or Natural Science or any other related discipline.
A professional qualification in Incident Command System (ICS – 200/300 & Incident Commander).
A professional qualification in the International Maritime Organization (IMO Level 2).
NEBOSH Process Safety Certification will be preferred.
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of eight (8) years of operational emergency response experience within Oil & Gas industry, including emergency management and incident command in CCMER in an operating business, and experience with a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
