Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is state-owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil. We are inviting talented, innovative, passionate and suitably qualified persons to apply for the following roles.

Job Purpose
Leads the delivery of all engineering services (including support to operations and maintenance functions) and develop, plan and execute safe, timely and cost effective delivery of projects in Heritage.
Key Accountabilities
Leads the Engineering Function by managing and monitoring team members and contractors performing in Engineering, Engineering Technical support, Project Engineering and Construction Management.
Provides assurance around the Engineering and Project Management capability
Develops HPCL’s Engineering Technical Practices.
Develops and delivers effective Integrity Management Strategies for the BUs.
Develops and delivers effective Risk Based Inspection programs for HPCL.
Maintains HPCL’s Computerised Maintenance Management System. Ensures the maintenance and inspection routines captured therein are continually fit for purpose.
Provides technical support via sound engineering advice to other functions in the organization particularly on issues affecting operation of plant equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
Ensures successful delivery, start-up and operation of the project portfolio, through innovative project contracting strategies, cost effective commercial solutions and lifecycle engineering solutions.
Owns the Capital Value Process (CVP) framework ensuring optimum Value and Risk Reduction Benefits are achieved.
Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for Engineering and utilizes a Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
Develops and implements a staffing strategy and effectively leads a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture.
Directs the development of departmental budgets and monitors and controls utilization.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognised, accredited institution.
Master’s degree in a related Engineering discipline will be an asset
Professional qualification to at least one of the following is also required: Certified by the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) US standard or Chartered Engineer (C.e.) UK standard
Minimum Experience

A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience, including project management experience on all stages of a capital project including Greenfield and Brownfield in a natural gas/process plant operations environment
Seven (7+) years must be in senior leadership roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry
