Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with identifying and selecting suitable products
• Provide knowledgeable and courteous customer service
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding products, prices and availability
• Prepare and process customer sales accurately
• Maintain organized and properly stocked sales and display areas
• Monitor stock availability and report customer requests for unavailable items
• Assist with other retail sales duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Hardware Retail Sales environment
• Good knowledge of hardware products, tools and building materials
• Knowledge of plumbing products and supplies will be considered an asset
• Must be South based
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable, punctual and professional
• Basic computer and numerical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
