LEAD ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN (SHIFT)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems within the hospital.
KEY FUNCTIONS
• Leads and manages a team of electrical technicians, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance, repair, and operation of all electrical systems.
• Reviews and approves maintenance reports and ensures all work meets hospital standards and electrical
•Conducts post-incident reviews and recommends improvements to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborates with the facilities team to track energy usage and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Recommends process improvements, new technologies, or training programs to enhance the team’s performance and the hospital’s electrical system reliability.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
•Five Five(5) or CSEC inclusive of Mathematics and English
• An Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) – seven (7) years’ experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a healthcare or a large commercial facility.
• A Journeyman’s Certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and supervising a team of electrical technicians.
• Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is highly preferred.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience.
