REGISTERED NURSE
JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing, coordinating and providing high quality nursing care services to all patients in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
KEY FUNCTIONS
•Acts at all times in accordance with the Nursing Council of Trinidad and Tobago Code of Professional Conduct.
• Ensures all nursing records are completed in accordance with the North West Regional Health Authority standards of documentation.
•Provides customer service to clients and relatives that demonstrate compliance with good customer service practice.
• Manages and coordinates nursing care including admission and discharge of patients/clients.
•Practices safe and secure handling and administration of medicines and record the results of treatment.
• Supervises subordinate staff and nursing students as delegated.
• Participates in continuing education programmes for personal and professional development.
• Participates in patient education and health promotion programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
• A University Degree, Diploma or Certificate in the field of General Nursing.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Trinidad and Tobago.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience.
