Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is state-owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil. We are inviting talented, innovative, passionate and suitably qualified persons to apply for the following roles.

Job Purpose
To lead the Company’s HSE assessment and assurance programme through structured audits, management system assessments and effectiveness reviews. To provide independent evaluation of HSE controls and performance to identify gaps, strengthen governance and drive continual improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Leads development and implementation of the annual risk-based HSE assessment and assurance programme across Company operations.
Plans and leads HSE audits, management system assessments, compliance reviews and effectiveness evaluations against Company and recognised standards.
Develops and maintains HSE assessment protocols, audit tools, criteria, checklists and reporting methodologies.
Evaluates the design, implementation and effectiveness of HSE controls and management system elements and identifies systemic weaknesses.
Prepares assessment reports, findings, risk ratings and recommendations and presents significant matters to relevant management.
Tracks assessment findings and corrective actions, verifies closure evidence and escalates overdue or ineffective actions.
Analyses recurring findings, trends and systemic issues across assessments and recommends enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
Ensures assessment activities are conducted consistently and objectively by internal assessors and subject matter experts.
Supports external audits, certification assessments and independent assurance activities by coordinating evidence and Company interfaces.
Develops strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for the team and utilizes the Performance Management System to measure, manage and motivate performance.
Develops assessor capability, provides coaching and supports departmental budget development, monitoring and control.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management or Engineering.
Professional membership or certification, such as CSP, ASP, OHST, CMIOSH, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum Experience:

A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the relevant discipline, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role.
