Job Purpose
To assist in the review and control of all activities in areas of financial tax planning and reporting in accordance with accounting standards and Company’s policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Prepares and submits for review consolidated financial statements and financial management reports as and when required.
Researches and provides recommendations on International Financial Reporting Standards and Taxation matters.
Prepares and submits all calculations as it pertains to Corporation Tax and SPT and WHT for review.
Prepares and submits all calculations as it pertains to Royalties (private and state) and other statutory obligations for review.
Provides oversight on the maintenance and reconciliation of all tax general ledger accounts.
Prepares and ensures accuracy and completeness of general ledger, subsidiary ledgers and fixed assets registers.
Evaluates all account balances, tax returns and performs regular audits on all tax returns.
Provides analysis and recommendations of tax inquiries/submissions and provides efficient response and alternatives to all inquiries.
Ensures maintenance and reconciliation of all tax general ledger accounts for reporting and auditing.
Prepares responses to all queries associate with tax submissions and ensure compliance to all extensions and payments.
Prepares timely and accurate payments to all parties.
Maintains effective and efficient financial/management processing systems.
On occasion, may be asked to assist TPHL Group Companies with any taxation or royalty matter.
Assists in the development of tax policies and procedures consistent with accounting guidelines and systems for internal control.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline OR Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA).
Minimum Experience
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the accounting/tax field with a minimum of one (1) year in the oil and gas industry.
