Job Purpose
To develop, lead and execute a robust and fully integrated communications strategy and plan to promote, manage, and protect the reputation of Heritage and its brand across its wide stakeholder group consistent with its culture, values and beliefs.To manage the reputation of the company, with responsibility for all internal, external and marketing communications for Heritage
Key Accountabilities
Corporate Communications
• Leads and directs the work of the corporate communications function in promoting and protecting the Heritage brand.
• Creates and manages relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders, both internal (by establishing champions and creating business partners across the network) and external.
• Develops, shapes, and implements the Global Corporate Communications Strategy, including development of Heritage Intranet and Internet Sites, Employee Engagement Program, Crisis Communication Plan, Local Advocacy Plan, Senior Leadership Visibility Program, Website and Portal Development, and Employee Brand and Recognition Programs
• Ensures that Heritage has a robust and effective crisis communications plan and can mitigate the effects of serious incidents.
Strategic Planning
• Supports the development and implementation of organization-wide strategic communications planning across business units.
• Develops a coherent and comprehensive communications strategy that support the overall strategic direction of Heritage.
• Ensures compliance with the Heritage culture, values and beliefs.
• Assesses communications programs, report findings and recommends improvements.
• Provides expertise and shares knowledge on appropriate response to issues.
• Builds and directs an effectively resourced and professional communications function capable of delivering the Heritage communications strategy, and which aligns the Heritage employees with the strategy.
• Provides strategic advice and support on all aspects of communications to management team and business unit heads, including the building of cross-functional platforms.
• Supports the leadership by developing communication activities that can support the strategy, encourage collaboration and promote the corporate culture.
Internal Communications
• Leads the development of a global Internal communications approach founded to ensure that the values and strategy of Heritage are understood by employees and, together with HR, develop programs and channels that support and measure engagement and encourages the relevant behaviours.
• Ensures that all internal Communications messages are aligned to the overall global communications purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
Minimum Experience
• A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in Corporate Communications.
• A minimum of five (5) years in a senior managerial role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record in global communications required.
• Experience in strategic planning, team leadership, corporate communications, advocacy and stakeholder management, and business management.

• Exceptional diplomatic and advocacy skills.
• High degree of smart, political and strategic thinking; calm under pressure and the instincts and ability to take the lead and command when necessary.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and global environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships.
• Outstanding communication skills, and awareness of the latest approaches to communications techniques and behavioural change.
