Planning Analyst Full Time NEW

Job Purpose
To assist in the development of long-term goals, business objectives and execution of strategies in alignment with Company’s strategic direction.
To identify, analyse and monitor issues that may impact profitability, growth, and productivity and recommend strategic alternatives.
Key Accountabilities
Supports the continuous review, evaluation, and amendment of financial reporting systems, accounting standards and recommend appropriate improvements to senior management.
Provides assistance at strategy reviews for Executive Management.
Supports the Business planning cycle from Strategy to Budget to in year performance review, by meeting and integrating with key stakeholders on plans for the period, facilitating integration, challenge and submission of the consolidated Business Unit (BU) Plan/Forecast.
Coordinates the development of strategic and business plans to optimise BU capital portfolio and operational budgets and maximise production delivery.
Leads budgeting and forecasting processes to review and monitor business performance against them and to ensure delivery of annual financial targets.
Provides performance reports to assist BU with the identification of improvements plans to ensure the BU achieves in-year and strategic targets.
Supports the implementation of the Operations BU’s Integrated Planning and Production Management Protocols.
Coordinates the development and deployment of appropriate commercial/economic models for economic analyses for business growth and performance improvement opportunities.
Develops key performance indicators for Operations.
Identifies financial and other business risks and advise relevant stakeholder for corrective action.
Assists in the development of templates and frameworks to be used during the business planning process.
Participates in planning discussions to ensure the participants understand key assumptions and drivers.
Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Engineering.
Minimum Experience

A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant working experience with a minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the oil and gas industry.
