COORDINATOR ONLINE PROGRAMMING
The Coordinator, Online Programming is responsible for managing the development and approval process for new and revised online content, while supporting the oversight of the University’s fully online programmes. The role requires strict adherence to institutional policies and procedures and demands a high level of confidentiality.
Scope of Role
Planning, administering, designing, monitoring, coordinating, collaborating, communicating, evaluating, recruiting, promoting, data collation, report writing, and implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
General Functions
• Online Programme Planning — Provide oversight and guidance for online course content throughout the approval process, monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective action.
• Quality Assurance — Work with the Dean to ensure quality assurance and programme integrity, manage stakeholder communication, and report programme progress to the Dean, SDE, School Deans, and Chairs.
• Programme Outreach & Recruitment — Support the Dean, SDE in building online programme delivery capacity and collaborate with SDE personnel on programme design and delivery.
Specific Duties
• Review course content and track development progress through the approval process.
• Maintain programme documentation for all online offerings.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on online programme operations.
• Ensure online course content is available before the start of each semester.
• Oversee responses to enquiries from students, external customers, and the public.
• Collaborate with Deans, Chairs, and Programme Coordinators to conduct SME performance evaluations.
• Assist with recruitment and promotion of USC Online programmes.
• Support content creation for SDE social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram).
• Assist with directing assessment operations for online programmes.
• Work with academic leadership to identify, recruit, select, assign, evaluate, retain, or discontinue SMEs and part‑time faculty.
• Support development and implementation of outreach and workforce training projects.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the University’s strategic pillars.
• Perform any other duties related to monitoring, administration, evaluation, delivery, and promotion of online programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, English, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in programme coordination and review.
• Experience in scheduling and course management.
• Experience managing and working within a team.
• Proficiency in computer‑based tasks.
• Experience in financial management (an asset).
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Competency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Forms, Calendar).
• Ability to write academic and financial reports.
• Strong digital data and record management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, and clients.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage schedules.
• Experience with Moodle LMS (an asset).
• Experience in educational media and technology (an asset).
